The Beginning of the End

I would like to firstly thank all those who took time out of their day to read this blogg. After all we live at what may be the peak of technological advance for the next long while and there are lots of things to do with our time on earth.

There are 3 different classifications of people in my mind regarding the end of the world as we know it.

#1 The Zealots.
One must understand that these people range from activist to carzies. Some think they are prophets and others just feel like it is never wrong to be prepared, but all of them share in the devotion to post EOTW ( end of the world) scenarios. Normally paranoid, distrustful of the government or victims of too many zombie movies; Zealots like to have the word prepared in their front pocket and the expression, "can't wait," in their back one. They like to plan how their new world will be, how they plan to survive and look forward to the excitement of global change.

#2 The Moderate

Now moderates are different. Although they appreciate the devotion of the zealot they would think it better if it was found at a special government office or in a small country in Africa struggling amidst civil war. They feel there is a place for the type of fever zealots possess, but it is far away from them. Yes, the world is coming to a screeching halt just not in their country. Or it will eventually just not at a rapid rate and it would take years. Moderates arm themselves with fire extinguishers flashlights and blankets for the more frequent emergencies leaving the big stuff to experts.

#3 The Nonbeliever

People like this range from having no idea what EOTW means or why we should think about it, to, "it's not my problem," and, "I Don't think that will ever happen." In short the nonbeliever thinks that the very idea is absurd and that if any terrible event ever happens the government will take care of it because, "That is why we pay taxes." Nonbelievers arm themselves with the idea it could happen around 3825 and have a few cans of soda or a bag of chips on the shelf just in case the power goes out at the store or they are to lazy to drive there. Basically not prepared at all.


So what happens to all of these people when the world does come to a screeching halt??
Well that depends on what type of and EOTW you are dealing with.

Let's say it is an attack of the fish people from mars and they run around zapping the countryside. (Highly unlikely I would think as fish people like to stay in the water where it is nice and wet. For Hollywood's sake we can use it anyway.)

The zealots fight the fish men or hide in the basement where they have food for a few weeks and try to wait out the attack until the army shows up or they form a militia. the latter more likely as these people have been waiting for this all their lives.

The moderates also hide in the basement but are forced to come out sooner than zealots to get supplies exposing themselves to attack, via suction cups. They have a radio so they listen for the news to try and get information on being rescued and look for zealots to team up with when they get desperate.

The Nonbelievers try to get a grasp on the idea that people really came from mars and that they are safely here on earth. ( I personally would like to know that too buttttt.........) And they flee in terror as they are struck down one by one or trample each other to death crossing bridges. Those that have the brains to take cover do but find their soda runs out after a day and that they have no idea how long this will last or how to contact other humans!!! In short they are quite lost and have no where to turn.


Well that is all for now. I will try to have a probable EOTW thing up next week sometime and that will help you all understand what I am getting at.

I hope to cover not just that one needs to be prepared but how one goes about such things, as it can be a bit overwhelming. But for now watch out for fish men! I hear they don't like intense heat. :)
